My Story

I am a Civil Registered Marriage Celebrant authorized by the Commonwealth Government of Australia.I belong from India, the state of Uttrakhand, district Pithoragarh, village Jayal. I am the youngest son of my parents. After my eighth grade, my father ShriManorath Bhatt, being a religious person, decided to send me to Haridwar for higher education to achieve the degree of a qualified Hindu priest in Melbourne. He wanted me to have focus on learning Hindu religion.

Haridwar is well known to be one of the holiest cities in India. I got admission in Rishi Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya which is associated to Sampoorananad Sanskrit University Varanasi. In the year of 1997, I accomplished Bachelor of Education degree from LalBahadurShastri Sanskrit University, New Delhi. The following year 1998, I also completed my Masters in Arts degree as Acharya with my specialization on NavyaVyakranShashtra. Thereafter, I worked as teacher of Sanskrit in Nirmal Sanskrit Mahavidhyalaya Kankhal at Haridwar, India.

In the year 2002, I migrated to Australia as a Hindu Priest and I was sponsored by ShriDurga Temple, Melbourne. From 2002 to 2008, I successfully worked as the head priest in ShriDurgaTemple. Thereafter, I quit the job and decided to work independently as a Hindu priest to serve the Indian community all over the Australia.

Whatever be your special occasion, big or small, it’s your day and I will personalise a ceremony to suit your individual needs. Being a qualified Hindu priest in Melbourne and as I belong from India I have a deep understanding of the culture, the people, the importance of Hindu morals and values and the inclusion of religious aspects. My easy going and warm nature accommodates for anything you want traditional and cultural additions to your ceremony is totally welcome with me as long as we have covered all the legal aspects.
